I got my 4in. exhaust installed lastnight. On my initial test drive I was able to hear my turbo spool up for the first time in seven years, kinda cool. The wierd thing was while driving at 25 to 30 you could hear a noise that reminded me of a kid riding a bike with playing cards clapping in the spokes. Kind of a snapping type of sound. I am sure nothing was wrong it just was a strange sound, a new sound. All in all I am pleased with the new exhaust.
Congrats on the new exhaust and I also agree with what Joe said about pissing off your neighbors Espicaly if you have it straight piped and you start it up at 4:30 in the morring to go to the GYM
How did you get the 5in to fit in your truck? It does not look like it would fit.
the down pipe is only 4" (same as your system) but the rest is 5". All it does is sound alot louder. haha Nick hit the nail on the head. Anything past 10PM and its dirty looks and head shakes. lol

i have the 5" strait pipe system from MKO as well..at low speeds you can here the wheel spin with the exhuast..to me it sounds like a helicopter at idle...is this what you are hearing?? its louder when in between buildings.. congrats on the instal..you should see lower EGT's as well..

That must sound so sick. Man I wish I could fit a inch system in the X but that would be way to tight!!

That sound like it is probably the same thing, and yes deffinately louder between buildings or anything it can reverberate off of.
Congrats on the exhaust install Terry, are you sure you checked to see if any of the pipe might be tapping anything under there? Clearance issues? Just a thought.
