Hi,
I do have 99 V10 and my ac is not working good.Cool fine for a while, then eventually quit cooling, and begun blowing warm air. After few minutes start blowing cold air again.
Local ford did refill last year.
Thanks Jaromir

There are a number recharge kits at automotive supply stores and Wally World. They have pressure gauges on them as well. You should get one and recharge or verify the charge. You *may* have a small leak.
Also, ford, in thier infinite wisdom didn't put a bypass valve inline of the heater core like most cars have. Causes the AC to work harder and actually blow warmer than it should. I bought a rv water heater manual bypass valve and hooked it up in line. Turn it off in the summer, on in the winter. AC blows 10 times colder in the heat.
You on the other hand may have a leak. Have a jiffy lube or somebody put some dye in it and look for green liquid. Replace leaking part. Reservice.

Most likely, the OP's problem has nothing to do with either the charge level or the engine coolant lines.
Sounds like another excessive clutch air gap or a broken blend door which are both well covered in the HVAC forum.

The air gap I can see, the blend door; probably not. It goes cold then warm, cold then warm etc. etc. The blend door typically sticks and doesn't move when it is broken
.
First and cheapest thing to check is the refrigerant. If that checks out there he should progress from there.

Look on your heater hose to see what size it is. Hopefully it's on there. You can go into Advance, AutoZone or Napa and tell them you want a water shut-off valve for what ever size hose it is.
