Well not yet. The auction closes tonight at midnight....bout 23min to go... My first offer was 60K then they wouldnt let me see the other offers, so I raised my offer. They were asking 75K for the house and I offered $77,250. Just waiting for a call tomarrow.

Too bad. Maybe next time. Don't let it get you down. It sounds like you were pretty close. Remember it's better to be too low than to pay too much for it.

I agree what jim said, a better one will come down the pike. About 6 or 7 years ago when the housing market was booming we wanted this house so bad. We put in an offer on it for the price they were asking because alot of other people were going to put offers on it. Low and behold this one couple put on their offer that they would pay 2,000 dollars more than the top bid, we all didn't have a chance against that crap. Bumed us out big time but bought my inlaws house for a great price. Things will work out the next time around. Good luck.

Zach, another thing that is good to do is if you find a house for sale by a Realtor. Get your own Realtor to work for you. The Realtor that puts the house on the market, by law has to try to get the best price for the seller he/she can. If you have your own Realtor, they have to try to get the best price for you. Then the two Realtors split the commission.
That is the only way I will buy property.
