engine swap
With all the changes--engine mounts, cooling, exhaust, accessories, the transmission--you would be money ahead to rebuild the 351M, and while you're there make it a 400 or a bit higher performing 351m.
A straight up timing set, (vs. stock retarded timing), higher compression pistons (you're buying pistons anyway with a rebuild) and dual exhaust, never mind a good intake, 500 or so cfm carb and headers, will make the 351m wake up.
The 360 is a dog stock and needs the same poke in the butt to wake up as well--the 351m fits, so I'd work it over.
