I'm piggybacking on this thread since I've got a problem that might be addressed by filter quality. I've got an '82 C-Class motorhome with E-350 chassis and a 460 that has 75,000 miles. A continual problem is the oil filter leaking when the engine gets warm. I've cranked down on several filters (mainly the Fram PH8A) to no avail. Would a better quality filter, maybe one with a stronger baseplate or better gasket solve this issue? Or is this a common problem with the 460 block?
