I suppose most would think, by the title, that this post is negative. Just the opposite. I deal with a lot of businesses and this has made the #1 spot. First of all, a lot of good communication in making my decision with Tony. I pretty much had my mind made up by the information on this forum but Tony sealed the deal. I only ordered three positions; economy, light tow and heavy tow. When he sent it to me, he said, sorry for the delay, I threw in a couple more positions. To me, there wasn't any delay but now I have a six position chip! I tried it out for a 1K trip and loved it. The only thing was at very, very light throttle the truck would buck, like going over a hill on cruise and the throttle would go to idle. Then at the bottom when a little throttle was needed the bucking would start. I called Tony, he said to send it in and he is returning it in one day UPS delivery. When I get it back tommorow I'll let you know how it works in a day or so. What a guy!!!!!!!
All three of you are right, great guy but be patient. And no, I didn't get any kick backs. I just was so surprised I thought I would pass it on. Its not every day a person is treated so well!!
I got to meet Tony and his family at a meet & greet in DFW. He has a great family and really knows his stuff. I'm saving for my chip and I know I'll be getting it from him when the funds allow.
how much does TW chip cost? What are the performance increases?
Cost is gonna depend on how many positions you get. I think the 6 pos goes for $475, that range, correct me if im wrong. Performance is pretty good. My trucks lifted with 38's, and she moves pretty darn good for a lifted truck, more than i expected. I guess its gonna depend on whats done to your truck for the performance part.
TW has a six position rotary switch. FWIW I had a 4 pos TW and then went with a six position from DP and just last winter went back to a 6 position from Tony. This one's a keeper and I'm done changing chips.
To me the F5 is neat and all but more than 6 positions.....I can't think of any opportunity where I would want let alone need more than 6. Plus cost. each program cost another $45. I am going with TW. Sending my chip out very soon to have him work his magic.
