Where would i put my boostline hose where would be the best place to tap it in i was goin to do it in the fixture where the turbo meets the ic tubes on the cold side i belive the side not going into the intake... wouldthat be ok Sorry for not making much sence if any one has pictures that would be awesome i also got a push lock fittings to tap into them seems to be a great set up i hope
I put mine in the map sensor hose. The kit came with the T and fittings I needed to do this. Some put them on the spider cold side. Just depends on the way you want to do this.
I put mine in the MAP hose with the supplied T fitting. Some have done the AIH delete and tapped that hole for the boost gauge fitting. Early 99's don't have an AIH so if yours is an early then just do the MAP line.
soo i dont know what you guys are talkin about i looked and i couldnt find any line that the t fitting would fit in??? mines a 02 lol i guess i need some more help
wow i guess thats a new thing i learned what does that thing do anyways??? can anyone show me how to disconnect my wastegate thing soo i can get more boost or not a good thing to do sence i dont got a boost fooler yet??? but im still scratching my head ever sence i decided to clean my connections on my ic tubes and now i can not get my check engine light to come on and b4 i touched them i could get it to come on with ease soo somthings wrong with my truck and the boost i must not be hittin 26 lbs any more is there anything i should be checking i deciced to clean all my boots and everything this past week and put them all back on and tighten them all real tight and i still cant get my check engine light to come on soo im real curious whats gonna happen when i get my boost gauge hookled up on thursday
Since you don't have a boost fooler or OBA I would delete the AIH and put it there, so when you get the OBA you don't have to cut the line again. Plus deleting the AIH is almost a free mod.
whats a AIH and a OBA ???? kinda lost here and where are these things?? i really have no clue about these powerstrokes honestly im use to my idi turbo
You have a Air Intake Heater on the spider, it's connected to a second relay next to your glow plug relay (allows you a spare relay for GPs when you disconnected it). The AIH rarely turns on, it's just there to help reduce smoke on cold startups.
You can replace the AIH with a plug that accepts the tube that goes to your boost gauge.
OBA=over boost Annihilator, it goes between the MAP sensor and the spider and only allows the PCM to see a max of 22# of boost, so you don't throw a code and de-fuel the truck.
So my point was if you plan on getting a OBA you will have to splice the hose at the MAp sensor again, rather than doing that you could kill 2 birds with on stone and remove the AIH (which only restrictes air flow and doesn't do much else) and have a place for the boost to be read.
Here's where I put mine. Fitting came from Pure Diesel Power from above and is called an AIH delete with boost fitting. See the white boost line going to it.
