I'm told that there is a bolt on the drivers side of the transmission to adjust the 5th/rev shift fork. Can anyone describe the correct procedure for this adjustment?
This original post was submitted a long time ago and I'm still having trouble shifting into reverse at times. I have adjusted the concentric on the side of the tranny twice, including today, and it is now at it's max. position and I still can't get into reverse all the time.
Some times when i shift into reverse and let out the clutch I get a sound that sounds like the gears are just missing each other- kind of like running a zipper up and down. I have to shift into another gear, then try again. I don't think it's a syncro cause it works fine 9 times out of 10. Does anyone have a suggestion?
