I put a set of BFG A/Ts on my truck right before we got slamed with a snow and ice storm back in March and didn't have any problems (they actually seemed to grip better in that crap then my favorite Wranglers.) They ride good and don't give any tracking problems. You didn't say what your front end problems are but I doubt the tires are the problem. That being said, it's possible to get a bad set of tires.
