Finally Made it Home.
Well, I finally got down here a couple of days ago. 4250 miles in 6 days. My GCVW was 16,948. My average fuel economy was 11.27 mpg. My lowest was 9.04 in some really bad mountains and my best was 14.85 running across Kansas and Oklahoma. I am happy with the mileage because I was running in between 70 and 80 mph. I only had one problem the whole trip. My lower radiator hose got into my serpentine belt somehow and blew in the middle of nowhere in Canada. Luckily I had a piece of pipe and some extra clamps so I just spliced it and made it all the way to Texas like that. I still haven't fixed it even though I got the new hose in my toolbox. But overall it was a good trip even though it cost me $2300 in fuel. I ended up paying a little over $7 a gallon at one place in Canada. I just thought I would let everyone know how it went. Overall the powerstroke really took care of us.

I thinking it will take approximate $1,400 to $ 2,000 for fuel, Please Keep us posted of your fuel cost when you done.
And most important . HAPPY MOMORIAL DAY.

When I made that trip in '06 it turned out to be 5001 miles because of the route I took, NC, to NY, to Chicago and then angled up to Fairbanks. Seems to me I spent right at 2000 in fuel also even back then. Maybe not quite as I was using cash and not paying any attention to anything but the gallons and not the dollars. I also did it in 6 days, and let me tell ya, that is one long *** drive by yourself if you're a seasoned citizen.
