I'm looking at going with some '05 headlights on my '03 and instead of doing the whole swap (bumper, lights, grill and headerpanel) I want to keep my chrome bumper and I just ordered a new '03 grill. So I was wondering what would have to be done or if it was possible to keep the '03 bumper and grille and go with a '05 headerpanel and lights?
there is no need to buy the newer header panel unless you really want to drop the $150ish on it. All it takes is a little cutting with a dremel tool, etc.
If you would like more info on how I did it, pM me
The front ends were changed in 2005. You can change the header panel for a drop-in fit on the head lights and grille, but due to the bumper being higher at the grille area than a newer one, the grille will have to be trimmed at the bottom. Youre going that far, why not just spend the money on the bumper and valance, it looks sweet.
I like my '03 bumper better than '05, because I like how mine is chrome across the top and all the '05 bumpers I've seen are color matched. Just a personal preference.

I felt this way too at first, but I think I may explore. A buddy of mine gave me the upper paintable valance for free, so now I just need the bottom chrome part of the bumper and the grill.
