C-6 Big Block Tranny Help..
yes ,,I HAVE BOUGHT A 1986 E-350 MOTOR HOME ,,,IT HAS 27,450.00 ORG MILES ,,THE TRANNY WILL SHIMMIE WHEN YOU TAKE OFF ,,,I TOOK THE CALE OFF TO SEE WHAT TYPE TRANNY IT WAS,,,WELL ON TOP OF THE TRANNY ,,,WROTE IN BLUE CRAYON ,, WAS WROTE ..REBUILT BIG BLOCK C-6,,,,WELL IF ITS ALREADY BEEN REBUILT , AND ONLY HAS 27000 PLUS MILES ,,AND NOW LOOKS TO NEED REBUILT AGAIN ,,,CAN ANY BODY TELL ME WHAT KIT OR SOMETHING I SHOULD DO TO MAKE IT RIGHT ,,,AS I JUST BOUGHT IT AND WANT IT RIGHT ,,,THANKS ..JOE..P.S. SORRY ABOUT THE SPELLING ,,AS I CANT SPELL WORTH A HOOT ..LOL..

sorry about that ,,,how else do you check them ,,i try to pull and push them side to side and no movement at all ,,but will chatter at take off and when you stomp it to get speed up ,,,but if i put it in 1st and shift it to second and then thire ,,as long as i baby it it does fine that way ,,but have tryed to move and wiggle all u- joints and carrier bering were two piece drive shaft meets,,,thanks ,,,joe

Block the wheels so when the driveshaft is removed the vehicle won't roll away or over you.
Do not rely on the emergency brake.
If the ujoints are rusted they will appear tight.
Plus there could be pressure on the joint from the vehicle if it is in Park and on an incline.

Shop around for a trans shop that will look at it for you. This could be a simple adjustment, and a service. It shudders when you take off, but otherwise works ok, right? I think you're a little early with the death certificate with just this issue.
