First and foremost, Welcome to FTE. First time at rebuilding Holley 4v couple yrs. ago with input from members in the 'fuel and carb' forum. Basically was advised to make sure work area CLEAN. Disassembled carb and placed in can of carb cleaner overnight. Removed items that could be damaged by solution; floats, plastic, rubber items not included in the rebuild kit. Make sure to remove power valve etc., you want to be able to blow out the various cavities. As I removed various parts from the solution I used air compressor to blow out all the cavities, if there is no compressor, an aerosol can of compressed air will work, type used for cleaning computers, elect. equip'mt. I found the instructions extremely helpful, followed them closely. Recall making a trip to auto parts store to pick up a 'clutch' bit for removing power valve, not sure if same type screws are used to secure power valve for 2v. Perhaps more knowledgeable member can provide additional info. Also, another member just recently posted topic and was experiencing problems with his rebuild and found error in reassembling power valve. Bottom line, I did not find the project that difficult.
