95 PCM?

I am just wondering if I could use an AOD or manual trans 5.8 or 5.0 PCM in place of my C6 5.8 without any issues. F4TF-AJB, I live in Ohio so no emission test

A 5.8L AOD or manual transmission PCM should work OK in a 5.8L with a C6.
A 5.0L may work but may not give as much power.

I take it we are talking about close to the same year PCM as the truck.

Is this for an F150 or F250 or larger? The reason I ask is because a '95 F150 would be MAF while an F250 or larger would be SD in most cases so the required PCM is different.

If its a 5 speed 5.0 Pcm it will be SD. As far as I've been able to find there isn't a truck MAF five speed pcm. I'd like one haha. My 95 is SD because of the 5spd.

The PCM is from a 95 150 2wd 5.0 AOD, put in 95 250 5.8 4wd C6 truck, seems to be running fine but check engine light is on constantly

There is no such thing as a '95 5.0 AOD.

If the check engine light is on, you should pull the codes.

Maybe not AOD, but which ever overdrive it is... All I know is both are EEC-IV/ F4TF units, can you pull codes without a scanner?

Please don't assume I'm an idiot, it's just believe it or not, this is actually the newest truck I've had to work on, before this one I've had 79 and older

Yes you can

http://oldfuelinjection.packrad.net/page13.html

Warmup the engine then do the above. You will get 3 digit codes.

List them here by number and when they were displayed. KOEO or CM

KOEO = Key On Engine Off

CM = CONTINUOUS MEMORY. aka stored codes.

Can you post the numbers off the PCM as F4TF does not tell us anything. The last 2 or three letters say what it is for.
Most 95 PCM computers were numbered F4TF-12A650-??? or F5TF-12A650-???
It would also help to know what transmission you have.

Yes I learned that the 1995 For EVTM is miss labeled for the 5.0L engine.
I also learned that the 1994 & 1995 trucks with the 5.0L engine that did not have the E4OD or the 4R70W transmission were all SD and did not have SFI, they were MFI trucks.
Sorry if I miss lead someone.
