K & N Intake system
I am looking for the best price for the k&N Performance intake kit. I am hoping it will help with the gas milage on my '04 F150 FX4. I installed one on my Dads Ranger and he saw an improvement of about 1 mpg on the highway. I am hoping for the same results. But, not sure if it is worth it if I can not find a good price. Any links would be appreciated.

I just put a VOLANT Power Core CAI on my 07 SCREW 4x4. Got it for $302 online. Only downer was it came with no instructions, just a parts list. Fortunately I found some install instructions here. All-in-all, it was a piece of cake, took about 45 minutes.

I've got the volant...no MPG improvement. I had a KandN on my old '01 Expy, it was worse than stock. It allowed the intake to breath hot engine compartment air. So, not worth it in my opinion. If you get any intake don't bet on any extra MPG. But, make sure you get one like the volant that breathes in air from the fender or at least outside the engine compartment.
