Alright. Finally though i had my truck all fixed up after pulling all 4 injectors on the passger side bank and re o-ringing them. put it all back together and she starts up and runs beautifly. this is untill i take her for a second test run and we start hearing a "missing" sound. get it back to the house and it only gets worse. the guy that has been helping me with all of this said it was a clynder bowling back threw the intake. it sounds like its coming from the drivers side bank.
he said it sounded like a rocker arm or a push rod was out of place. i plan on taking the passenger side vavle cover off tomorrow morning to see if i happen to screw anything up while i was putting it all back together.
any other suggestions?
Oh it will start and run with this "miss"
Was the motor clocked at 11 when you installed the rockers and push rods?
It should be clocked so the lifters can bleed down during the install.
Bill
It was wasnt at clocked at 11, but i did clear all the oil/fuel/fulid out of it before i put the injectors in and then once the injectors were in i cleared them all again threw the glow plugs.
I would check all the pushrods where you reinstalled the rockers.
Its possible the valve hit the piston and bent a pushrod or valve.
Reinstall rockers with motor at 11. Just line up the balancer to the CPS.
Alright, im going to take up to the guy that has been helping me through all this so he can clear all the codes out one last time.
think i should go ahead and take the outher side out and replace those o-rings too? my thinking is if the those went bad the others cant be far behind.

Cuz i had only watched the guy take one of the injectors out and thats how he did it. i did see that you dont have to take them out at all, that all you really have to to is take two bolts off(oil deflector and one retaining bolt). but if you dont have one of those spiffy injector puller tools its hard to "pry" them out and with one of the rockers out it makes life easier. also he brought a serice manual and it doesnt say anything about clocking the motor at 11.
