I had a brain storm and was wondering, i work on diesel rigs and smaller rigs and after seeing a CAT 3126 in a truck i wounder even with a longer block would it work. I was jsut curious if any one had tried it like the old detroit 353 4 cyclinder
Would a Detroit Four Banger have an advantage over the PSD?? I don't think that the Detroit would weigh as much but I doubt that it would/could out preform the Powerstroke.
As far as anyone doing it, I don't know but there is someone on this forum that is dreaming about stuffing a Powerstroke into a smaller F150. If he succeeds he probably have to get a second job just to keep tires on it.
I dont know about a Detriot or a CAT but there is someone on here that i found recently that put a Perkins 6.0 Twin turbo with a Road Ranger 10 speed into a 79' (i believe) F-350. It was a complete custom job and it came out really good, truck must have more HP then it knows what to do with lol.

You know what i have always wanted to do???
stuff a 7.3 in the smallest car i can and muffle it to sound stock, or close...
then build it to the biggest power i can!
can you imagine- a 1000 hp geo metro that sounds stock!
imagine what you could win at the track!
Seen a lot of trucks at the lima truck show here in ohio with CAT motors, its been the thing to do for quite some time. I have found A LOT of 3208 cat motors, most very cheap. You can get one complete for about 1000 bucks here. I dont think it will fit in my rodeo though......Hummmmm........
