96 f250 w/ psd. Pretty much a stock vehicle w/ 150k. I think prev. owner changed out crank pos. sensor but im not eliminating that completely as a problem....
When my truck idles, you can watch the tach bump up and down like the engine is misfiring. It sounds like its misfiring too... I don't think its an actual misfire because that's really something a gas engine does, right? I know these truck can have a tendency to have a rough idle but not up and down like this. It should be smooth across the board right?
Last fuel fill was from a reputable station (where I always get fuel...could be bad gas, but i'm willing to say its not likely).

Any suggestions appreciated.
If warm only ,It may be oil related ,as in IPR or injector O ring (IPR most likely)
You can try unplugging the ICP sensor ,,see if it smooths out ,,,Could be the sensor Or the IPR itself ...You may also want to try cleaning the FPR screen in the filter housing...
I just went throught the same thing.... find someone to do a buzz and contribution checks.... the buzz test will tell you if the elctronics are working on your injectors and the contribution will knock each cylinder down individually..... did this on mine to find a dead injector....
