My fordomatic 2 speed on my old style 200 I6 wont shift into high, i think the front pump might be bad, any suggestions? I have no money, and I already swapped trannys, but had to use the same front pump to match the torque converter. Anything I should check or try before I drop the transmission and try the ball-peen wrench.
Also, is there any way to check if the vacuum modulator is working without buying a new one?

What are you working on?
If it's a 1959 Ford truck, it doesn't have a 200 engine, that engine was only used in cars (Mustang/Falcon, etc).
It's a 223 6 cylinder.
A 1959 Ford truck has a 3 speed Ford-O-Matic, not a 2 speed.
The 2 speed was only used in some Falcons/Fairlanes.
Assuming it`s a aluminum case two speed Fordomatic my book says, check throttle and manual linkage, defective governor or high clutch piston, defective low band servo, leakage in control pressure main circuit, or defective high clutch.
