I have a job1 truck with 35 toyo's mt(tire size recalabrated by dealer)- just installed edge juce about 2k miles ago (have 23k total now) I now see when the regens are happening while driving and they are every 70miles or more often. I go about 255miles in each tank @34 gallons. Milage did not change with edge! but it does pull better only use level 2. I tow excavators and backhoes(mini) with max weight of eq and trailer about 14k
How often are you guys regening that tow a lot like me? and what is your exhaust back pressure reading out at mine is between 20-45psi while towing
could be DPF be getting plugged up? no codes have been thrown
this is my favorite truck todate it just cost twice as much to drive
Your are having more regens because of the edge. Its clogging up the filter alot faster now because your truck is producing more sut. Your not going to see any mpg improvements until you get rid of the dpf...
I am towing a little heavier than you, and without a tune mine is regenning every 50 miles. I don't get any codes either, but I am sure something is wrong with the DPF. it will be gone soon.

WOW! How long has this been happening? Does it happen towing too? Mine had been regening often but only because I have been driving it about 10 miles at a time over the last couple of months. Heading for 3,000 miles towing in 3 weeks. Sure would hate to see that happen then.
I removed my DPF and bought a sct programer with the DPF delete program in it from DPF Delete.com I LOVE IT! my truck 2008 job 1 build F350 4X4 CC gets 18.8 city/hwy mixed driving no trailer and last weekend pulling my stock trailer loaded between Olympia WA and Burns Oregon it avg 11.2 mpg. This truck has 33k on the clock, only 1 warr issue, the radiator. AWSOME RIG
I have a 2008 job 3 F450, and just had my first regen at 3160 miles. Yes, that is correct, the first one. About 3/4 of the mileage has been empty and I have been babying it- never exceeded 60, even on the Interstate. The other 25% of mileage has been with my 11.5' slide-in camper and towing my 21' boat, total weight on scales at 18,520 pounds. With that load, I ran at 55 mph and averaged around 10 mpg. That involved crossing back and forth across the Appalachian mountains. The "Drive to Clean" message came on at 3160 miles shortly followed by the "Cleaning Exhaust Filter" message. I have only used the ULSD fuel.
the factory default wether your filter is plugged or not it will automtically regen at around 500 miles so 3160 isnt right
Last summer when I towed over 2,000 miles, never felt mine go into regen for about 2500 miles. Believe it ran hot enough to keep it clean. Like I said the last month real short miles it constantly went into regen because of the short mileage not heating up. I kept shutting if off before it finished. Finally one day I left it run for about 15 minutes in the driveway after 8 miles driving to let it finish.
any one looking at exhaust back pressure mine seems to run about 12psi higher than the boost press.
I am planning on pulling out the dpf and stacking programmers after the 36k mile mark

Stacking is a good way to jack something up. Why would you need to stack anyways when there is already 600 rwhp tunes out there?
i get a kick out of people that one these trucks saying theyre going to stack. i say more power to them anyone DUMB enuff to do it and not SMART enuff to do their resurch deserves a blown motor. we've already heard of one guy stacking and it worked real well for him! (blown motor) best of luck
I love it when people just assume that i am stacking for power!
I like the edge for the display the stacking is for milage(dpf delete) i can run the edge on stock mode or on 5, just because you can put all the power to ground that you want, it does not mean I do,
but if someone needs to tell me that i have not done my research or my ideas are so great. Please put some good info into this thread first by answering a question before you unload your vast knowledge on me!
Oh yea you for got to tell me my warranty is now voided!
Can anyone tell me what there truck is showing for bst and ebp psi when towing in and out of regens
my ebp seams to be about 50% higher than boost and during a regen it can be almost double!
PS If i did blow my motor I plan on being the frist to install a 6.7cummins (non-emmisions) in a 2008 SD

Why would you install a 6.7 non emissions? It would be stupidly expensive to buy the engine, and the 6.7 bends rods around the 600-700HP mark. 5.9 would be a much better choice.
