I think I have heard that the demand for regular cabs is below ten percent and they were likely to drop them entirely.
A super-lightweight Bronco? Maybe a turbo diesel four cylinder economy truck that carries four passengers? I'd also like to see a turbo diesel four cylinder Ranger.
It seems to me that the Ranchero is a dead issue because you don't have adequate security for your "stuff" and also it seems that four passengers is the minimum demand in our market.
My thinking is this; I like sports cars but I'm not buying them anymore because they don't carry enough. Same with the Ranchero concept. As a primary vehicle, I think you have to have a back seat and a secure space to lock up your things when you have to park and leave your vehicle in a public area.

The Falcon Ute can be ordered with a locking fiberglass tonneau cover painted in body color. My R/C does me just fine, a small storage area in back of the seat, and a locking tool box in the bed. Not everyone wants or needs a back seat in a pickup, they use them as a truck and to get back and forth to work without carrying several passengers. I use the wife's Mountaineeer for lugging people around, and my truck stays cleaner inside as a result.

While not everyone needs a reg cab, the majority of people buying a new truck doesn't want one...That's why they're harder to find...In my area, which is a farming area, the dealers might have 2 or 3 at the most on their lot at a time...
IF you could fit an ATV or snowmobile in the back I'd definatley think about one. Also it'd need a little more interior space like an extended cab. Give it a tow rating of 3500 lbs or better. All wheel drive with a V8 option and I'm in!
They do have a little stowage space behind the seat. 4x4? I don't think so. But you can get a 5.4 V8 so I'm sure it would tow well. It is also offered with a flatbed.
