85 to a 87 interior
Is it possible to tear out my 85 dash and components and install one from a 87.
I found a great dash from a 87 for sale. I dont know how hard of a job it would be or even possible...

It will be alot of work to change over as the dash mounts are diffrent in the cabs. The steering bracket will have to be changed also(formed to the dash lower bracket) . The firewall wireing harness are diffrent between the years too. The VIN tags are also in diffrent locations. Other than that, door pannels and other interior parts should be the same. I have a 87 cab I will be using on my 84 F250. Just have to figure new ways to remount the dash assy to the cab. And if possable grab that main harness and connectors through the firewall. That firewall connector is a good idea to use. Another thing is the ECU's are in diffrent locations in the 87 and up trucks(left kick panel behind parking brake assy not in middle of dash)
