With that sensor out a tap on the brake would not turn off the cruise?

No cruise engagement. Mine was leaking brake fluid out to the connection. Took me forever to find that leak. It started off the cruise would just turn off by itself. Then finally quit altogether.
How did it start the rest of the day? A code for a switch test and a non existent 2nd alternator sound like a PCM issue. Loose chip, something got wet, or weak batteries or corroded cables come to mind (at least my simple mind).
Don't forget the first thing that should always be checked on the 7.3 is the oil level.
update: everything seems normal. still got the 1211 and the 0541 code yesterday afternoon and checked it again once returning to work. i'm almost certain the chip is/was loose. i'll take it out when i get some time on my hands. thanks for the help guys.
