It's got a nice, crisp trigger - zero creep (it's been worked on) breaks @ 3 1/2 - 4 lbs. It's practically brand new and has been fired very little. Came with a sling, a 4x32 scope and 20rds 52grain H414 behind a 150gr Hornady and 40 rds of 4350 behind a 160grain boat-tail
Took too long posting links and didn't see you'd already posted the rifle info Steve. Congratulations!
I've been bouncing back and forth between a 7MM Mag and a .300 Win Mag. I hope to go Elk hunting before I die and I guess either one would do the job. I've read a .338 Win Mag is ideal for Elk but I really like my right shoulder and that's just a punishing round. The 7MM is great for wild boar, too.

Thanks for those links, Russ. Have you ever been to Burro Canyon?
I was thinkin' hogs when I decided between this rifle and a nice 03A3. Though I would like to have gotten them both, I really can't swing that right now.
Never really have seen too many rifles that I didn't want.

I've not been there yet. I have not decided between Burro Canyon and the West End Gun Club (a bit far, out by the 15). I always went to the Angeles Range when I lived in Tujunga. Guess it would help if I actually went to them and checked 'em out!
And.... Good Morning Pat, Randy, DesertDog (name?), Bill, and Ken!
Got some overcast skies out on the Left Coast this morning. "June Gloom"

That's because you haven't been looking in the right place.
Ever see an .44 caliber 32 shot Evans lever action rifle or 28 shot lever action carbine?
No?
The magazines are located in the butt. Loading one is lots of fun...put a cartridge in the mag, cycle the lever, put a second cartridge in, cycle the lever.
Ya gotta repeat this process for every cartridge you load. Hope you aren't in a hurry. Not only is it a PITA to load, the Evans is butt ugly.
How about a bolt action .45-70 Winchester Model 1879 or Model 1883, where the 5 shot magazine is located in the butt?
How about a Remington-Keene--you know...the bolt action model with an exposed hammer?
How about the bolt action straight pull Winchester-Lee Navy in .236 USN (6mm)? A Model 1895 without a lever.
There's more around here besides the Da Big Dummy that's an odd duck!
Hey, Darren! Good to see you.
No, I don't work at FTE - very often I fail to log off when I leave in the morning. That gives the appearance that I'm "here" when I'm not sometimes. Still, I can't dispute the fact that I probably spend too much time fooling around here - just ask my wife, she'll tell you.
