So that's the real story on the rail cannon. I was close. Thanx. That one is pretty impressive also.

Excuses, excuses! I am considering living in a camper as well! Is it just you or your family as well? I am back to a 90 mile round trip commute which ain't gonna work for long! Plenty of people who will let me park it in their yard. And with fuel prices there seem to be a lot of trailers for sale.

I think I would want to me more than 7 miles away! Might get a little after glow.

Yup I got me, the wife, the boy and our puppy. It is a 36' fifth wheel with 3 slides on it so I am not exactly roughing it either. Washer/Dryer and central vacuum system, Not so bad. The wife stays with me about 1/2 the time or a bit more now.

I think I am correct on the 7 miles but I could be wrong I was pulling that from memory.

the shell was over 500 pounds, stands about 3-4 feet tall and depending on powder charge would sail over 20 miles easily

its official military designation is the "M65 atomic cannon" army personel knicknamed it "atomic annie" because the whole concept was taken from "anzio annie" the german rail gun
