Is this right?

Is the A/c condensor a real little small rectangular thing?

So as I am re-looking this is what I am coming up with...

1)Fan shroud is attached to the radiator
2)Intercooler is next which has a pipe with a blue section connected to it and runs back to the turbo
3)Next is some tall very thin thing...which is where I get lost. Transmission cooler or A/C unit?
4)Next is a small rectangular unit mounted on the left center if you are looking at the hood...I am thinking this is the tranny cooler. (kinda like behind the front license plate)

I though both of my lines were on top but yes the trans cooler is about 6" tall
the two lines should go to the right side

Right right...gotcha....the lines do both go to the drivers side...small black flexible lines.

I was able to trace the hard siler/grey lines from the next unit behind the grill to the left and one has the spout thing on it that you add a/c fill and such to and it goes back to the compressor.

if the lines are going to the drivers side that would be power stering cooler
is it possibe the '99s don't have an external trans cooler it should be about 6" tall and 20" wide
the two lines should come from passenger side

I have since found that according to post number #11 at the link below....
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...late-99-a.html

I do not have a transmission cooler. Can I add one?

which would also CONFIRM that the thing that has the lines going to the drivers side is indeed the power steering cooler.

You do have an air-to-air tranny cooler. The early '99 did not incorporate a cooler in the bottom tank of radiator. Follow the tranny cooler lines on the passenger side of the tranny forward and they will go to the tranny cooler. The line toward front of tranny feeds atf to the cooler and the line at the rear is the atf return from the cooler.
