What setting to run

I have a DP Tuner installed in my wife's excursion. She won't touch the setting and she doesn't want to learn what each setting is for! "I just want it to run." So, I set it at 80 econo hwy. What do you think. I have read a few of you just run 60 tow all the time. Her driving is mostly freeway since we live out in the country and no hills, pretty flat.

I run in 80e most of the time, because it is the closest one to 140 smoke.

I don't have the DP Tuner yet but am planning on getting it soon. I was under the impression that the 80 econ was best setting for fuel mileage. Are you using the 60 tow because it gets better. I am asking because if that is the case then my settings will be changed when I get ready to order it. Thanks

I did run through one tank on the 60T and saw no increase over the 80 HP Superchip. But am now on the second tank running 80E and believe it's doing well. But if I don't win the Powerball I may never be able to buy another tank of fuel. I have fuel in my motor home that's years old and may never be able to fill it up again.........LOL

my girlfriend doesnt like 80E in stop and go traffic..throttle is a little touchy...when she takes it. i put it in 60Tow..on the hyway is another story..she likes the 80E to stomp on it and pass a slow car....i run 80E....good power for the hill climbs around here...she never really down shifts out of OD...im getting 18 MPG around town driving...

All day long today I ran in 60 tow hi altitude. Had lots of errands to run around town. No clue what the mileage was.....but the shifting is nice. And it's better powered then my Superchip was in MAX setting (90hp) ya riiiiight.

I have always heard and ran the 80E no matter what because it is a great all around tune plenty of throttle response in stop and go traffic.

Cool guys, thanks for the input. I have both 80 econ city and hwy, but since 90 percent of her driving is highway, I just leave it there.

Some people like the smoother throttle response and softer shifting of the tow settings. Thats why they run the 60T and 40t in town. I run 80E a lot and recently have been running around in 120R for the added smoke effect.
