I'm on the drilling end, so I usually visit those little 20 man portable camps. They are generally unspectacular.
Right on, I'm a tech on site for safety equipment on the plant side of things. Full time at cenovus foster creek right now. Camp I'm in now has probably 600 people maybe. Big double decker. Rooms are nice but they stopped feeding us prime rib! All the other camps in the area still get it. I guess if that's the worst thing I have to worry about though it's really not bad
I was there in april, not on site but working out of united safetys shop in fort sask. They had 2 turnarounds this year? Who do you work for? I'm no longer with united safety, I didn't finish scotford in april.
Just a quick hello from a new member up in Northern Alberta. Just bought a 2014 F250 SD CC XLT FX4 4x4, so far liking it, just need to modify it a bit. lol
Heard it was below minus forty in Manning this morning. Only -28 according to my truck in cow-town.
Supposed to be much warmer by saturday night, only -15 or so. That's pretty liveable.
Hope the cold stays for a while in the USA, I need those guy to keep buring the natural gas.
Well I guess I should update myself, since its be a while since I last visited, moved back to Calgary after living in Fort McMurray for 3.5years, subtracted an 08' f-150, and added a 1990 Ford Centurion to the stable (ie 4 door bronco, I'm the red and silver one running around Calgary if you ever see it).
