disabling the egr will prevent the valve from dropping down into the intake. It won't solve your boost issue. I don't think there are any "egr sensors"...by disabling the egr you just prevent the valve from dropping down into the manifold.

 

right but with my low boost numbers i am getting a CEL the codes are b/c the egr is not sencing any flow b/c i deleted it. By disableing the egr with xcal the code will go away. As for the boost have yet to come up with a solution or a cause.
