Does anybody know where I can get a new or remanufactured carb for a stock 360? Advance and autozone list them, but they say they cant get them. NAPA says they can get them, but they are about 400 dollars, which is a little steep for a stock carb.

Profile sez 1969, is that the correct year for the carb?
1970/72 carbs are different. These have (for one thing), a choke pull off diaphragm mounted on the airhorn.
thanks y'all. The truck is a 69, and the engine is not original, I would have to look at the numbers to make sure, but I believe the engine is also out of a 69. It is also a 3spd on the column with manual choke. I would rebuild the carb on it if I have to, but I have had problems with rebuilt carbs in the past, moreso on tractors than on trucks though. I may just put a good edelbrock 4 barrel manifold and a holley on it though.
I have another question- does anybody know if there are any aftermarket 2 barrel carbs available that will bolt up to the stock 2 barrel manifold, and also not give too much problem with the linkages? Also, I know that somebody said the 70-72 carbs are different, but can they be made to work on a 68-69? The carb on it is a piece of crap, which is why I don't want to rebuild it. I don't need a permanent carb, just something that runs decent for now, because I plan to build a either a 302 or a 390 for it next summer.
I went to autozone and advance auto, and both list them for about what you said, but they said that they were out of stock, the vendor was out of stock, and they even said the manufacturer is out of stock. My local NAPA store has the originals for about $400, but if I am going to spend that I will just get a holley and a 4 barrel off of a 390. I know I can order one for a 70-72 360 from LMC truck, but I'm not sure if I could use it or not.
I have a 2bbl it has been on the shelf for several yrs so the gaskets might need to be replaced If your intrested in the setup I can rebuild it get all freshened up for you and ship it off for you PM me on details and we'll see what we can do for you to get you up and running. This is an auto choke setup too.
I went to the Autozone website and was able to add both to my cart. Try buying one online. I'd still rebuld first. The kits are only $15 and supe easy.
If you rebuild the carb or replace it with a new one and still have problems check the gaskets and spacer between the carb and the intake. I have had some problems with them.
There's a whole lot of places to buy carbs and intakes cheaper then LMC..... Just bought a factory refurbished 600 Holley for a customer's car for $208.00.
With the factory refurb carbs, most of the time it's someone who didn't know how to calibrate and adjust the new carb, so returned it as defective.... When they go back to Holley, they are checked over by the techs, reboxed and sold for a bunch less $$$$.!!!! Holley even has their own store on eBay selling them....
