Finally got my guages installed and was wondering what numbers I should be looking for or expecting. Trucks a 99 xcab shortbed 4x4, auto, only mods are 4" exhaust and AIS. I'm just trying to find a baseline number of what to look for. Last night went for a cruise after the install - 40 mile trip, 60 mph - egt 500-600, boost - 3-5psi and tranny a hair over 100
The guages are the Dipricol optix, the tranny probe is in the port on the drivers side. Going to check it this am to make sure the teflon didn't get too far down on the threads.
Thanks for your help guys, I've had the truck since new and only 9 years later got around to getting my guages. What should I look for or expect numbers wise pulling a 28' travel trailer or even with my snowplow and salt spreader on in the winter? Trailer weighs 6500# and in with plow/spreader I'm pushing 12-13K in the winter.
Your tranny seems low. Where is your probe, what brand are your gauges?
I was thinking about my trans temps with the Trucool. He has the stock set -up. My probe is in the trans test port also. I used a paste-type sealant on the threads.
the trans temp seems ok to me (bepending on weather) its been cooler out here in Cali lateley and if its not over 75 my temps dont go much over 100. Do you have an aux cooler?

Trans temp is usually at least 75* above outside temp. Traveling 60 mph for 40 miles I would think the trans is at operating temp.
Ok, the sending unit was leaking around the threads, gonna pull it back out and put some teflon paste on it.
I have the stock tranny cooler in the truck
