I got a new prob. just started today. the drivers side window isn't functioning properly. it will only work sometimes when i try to put it up and down,
sometimes if i try to put the window down I will hear a clicking noise come from the fuse box. I've located it to the relays. numbers 3-4-5
all 3 relays have the numbers-- FOAB-14B192-AA on the top and 9097 C1 on the bottom.
In my best guess this means I have a bad relay. am I correct?
any other ideas what it may be?
On a side note, are the window buttons/door lock buttons supposed to light up at night? Mine don't and I can't remember if they ever did? Sorry for the semi-hijack...
thanks for responding it's nice to know there's helpful people out there.
I did try switching the relays around, they still made a clicking noise.
the tin foil deal was if the relay button didn't work, the problem I think is with the relays, but don't want to buy them if thats not what the problem is

It sounds like you may have a bad or failing switch. The clicking relays could be coming from a bad connection in the switch and weak power getting to the relays. Pull the switch panel out and check the plugs. Swap the switch out with one you know that works and finally, replace the switch.

John If switching the relay did'nt solve the problem, if it was the relay then the problem would have went away upon moving the problem relay, then I would do what Barry suggested and pull the switches. Look closely at the terminals for slight melting or distorting of the plastic, This is a sign of heat which is caused by a loose or corroded connection.
Very slim possibility. Let me see if i can find the wiring diagram. If you can hear them clicking that means the coil is being energized and the conatcts are pulling in. I'll post back in a few.

Jason, just did a quick search...yes the switches should light up. Because none of them work, you may want to see if the blue power wire has "juice" before replacing the swithches. Hope this helps!
