Hey guys and gals, hope everyone had a great Memorial Weekend. I know I did untill this AM....
My clutch will go down but wont come back up. If I try to start the truck when in gear, it don't seem to be engaging, truck will start moving (hope that makes sence). I put the clutch in and I cant take it outa gear. I'll be searching on the subject, but till I find the answer I thought I'd still ask.
Classic signs of the clutch hydraulic failure. When mine did this I just bought the pre-bled master / slave hydraulic assembly from Ford. It's a simple change out if you go this route. The only part that doesn't come with this is the rod that attaches to the clutch pedal. You could pull the old one out and re-use it, or just buy a new rod from Ford.
It's a 30 - 45 min. job to change. Let me know if you need instructions.
awsome, gotter done in 40 min. thanks to the supurb instructions from Chris. Hardest part was getting the clutch sensor off...lol The complete Ford assembly even has the connector rod that goes to the clutch peddle, guess that's why it was a little more pricey. but running like a top once again.
Had to run out for a bit. I come back and you've already got it done. Glad to hear it went well for you Glenn. I've heard Ford charges an arm and a leg to do the install for you. Kind of scary once you figure out how easy it really is to do.
