I saw a 3 1/2 Ton Garage Jack at sam club the other day, Sam's Club - 3 1/2 Ton Garage Jack
it reviews says it crap, is that true?
Would you recommend it or 3 1/2 AC Delco that I saw at Murrays or 3 1/2 Craftsman jack?
If you're going to spend money on a good jack, get about $150 together for an old Lincoln. They are rebuildable, and will last much longer than that one will.
Their basic design is still being made in the US, and a new one will set you back about $400, but money well spent. Hein Werner 3 Ton USA Made Heavy Duty Professional Service Jack HW93652
I have had two of these, very reliable, and very stable.
Would recommend a 3 1/2 Craftsmanor or 4 ton
I have a Craftman 3 ton, it works well, it around 2 years old.Works good, but I am going to use as transmission jack, Do they sell transmission jack adapter that will fit the jack
I have a powerbuilt 3 ton. It will pick up either end of a pickup with ease. It was about $100. My friend has a 3 ton craftsmen and it works good to me
i have an old hadmedown craftsman that i got from my grandpa. i bet its 20ish years old. worked damn good for many of years. it lifted up the whole *** end of my 4020, and i know thats heavy. still works but it got very stiff and i decided to retire it. still have it but never use it
just my 02 cents

Purchased a Lincoln some 20yrs. ago and still the most reliable. Had a Craftsman before that, it was a good jack in its day, however, not that excited about the quality of Craftsman tools any more. Purchased few power tools off Craigs list, what I usually do is contact the seller and get the model and manufacturer info then go online and see if replacement parts are still available, if not, then pass.
Bought several of the Michelin Jacks from Sam's. Only one had any issues. They have worked fine for my home use, but I do have access to an old Lincoln at the shop and the lifts if need be.
Still, at home, I don't have help, so unlike the real world shop experience, use Jackstands at home.
I bought that same Michelin jack from Sams a few times. My dad has one and then we picked one up for out at the shop and then I bought one for my house as well. I've been very happy with it.
