Why yes. I have lifted mine and my friend also is installing a lift on his. Right now I have a 3" body lift and 33x12.50's. But as soon as my economic stimulus check comes I will be installing a 4" rough country also. For a grand total of 7" of lift. I have a "lincoln locker" and 4.56 gears and a few performace mods to the motor. I have been running it the way it is now for a year. Does really well. But I have a BW1354 t case I am going to put in divorce mounted along with a dana 30 out of a 99 TJ jeep. 2wd can go a lot of places. But, I have had a few shortcomings on rocks and very, very steep rocky hills. But does real well in mud up to about 2ft deep. Time for me to man up and make her a 4x4. But if i didnt get the parts for free it would be stayin a 2wd. Alot of people will b/s you about it but think of is as an oversize 2wd atv. Performs about the same. Have had good luck with mine showing the old Z71s how its done.

Look in my pics to see a good side shot.
Nice Ranger if i didn't know it was 2wd to start, i wouldn't be able to tell the differents. Mine needs work before doing anything but once she ready gonna get 4" Lift just not sure which brand. Hope everything works way you plan.

Yep should work out real nice with the 4.0 power. Rough country makes a cheap lift. If you want a really good one fabtech and camburg make some high $$$ lifts with coilovers.
