Ok all, me again. And another sore topic thats been beat to death but hopefully with a new spin.
So, I'm cruising the net the other day and find out some info about hho gas( using water as an assist to boost mpg's and make gasoline perform better). Basically its on demand hydrogen with no storage tank. I know this info works as it was originally called brown gas and has been proven. My question or questions is this(if anyone has ventured into the dark already):
1) my research no matter what keeps bringing up two websites( that I will not disclose yet and give them further advertisement until I know better) that seem so-so on the ligit chart but makes me wonder if they aren't some pay to play deal encouraging everyone to put them on their websites and say good things???? any suggestions there
2) if anyone has tried this.... will my 4.6 be ok with it
3) how safe is the conversion most sites sale....are they ligit
4) does it really work
I mean who wouldnt love to get double gas mileage for a minimal investment. But I also know how sales work and if your good you can make anything sound good......I mean some salesman could sale an ice cube to an eskimo. anyway any info would be great. I know some of the othe gear heads on this site may have been a bit braver than I and already tried this.
so sorry.......Im fairly new to this section...I quess I've been stuck in the 80-86 section too long. I thought this a place to ask questions...next time I know that is not so kosher and will do more research first.
It's fine to ask questions. If this was a feasible set-up, the auto makers would have something of this nature on their vehicles to keep the MPG #'s high and make CAFE happy. I'm pretty sure that nothing out there is going to double your milage.
if you take electricity and shoot it thru water you can break it up into hydrogen and oxygen. it does work. the problem is the volumn of hydrogen you get is very minimal per minute. the amount needed to run a car would be hundreds of time greater than the output of the hydrogen making system. in general, no it wont help.
