Air Pump

Can you eliminate this pump without buying an idle pulley and bracket? If so what size belt would I be going to? This is on a 1992 F-150 with a 302 in it.

the bearing is going in it. I squeaks all the time. I do not have cats on my truck anymore and the EGR is blocked off. I really do not need it. Anything that is being driven is using some amount of power. Any idea what belt size?

You'd have to check your belt routing but I doubt if you can route around where the smog pump is with a smaller belt...I looked at doing that on my truck and I couldn't do it...mines a 95 302.......to find the right belt size string twine the routing you need to go cut it to length and take it with you to the parts store....
