10k problem

I just the 10k mod a few days ago and now ever once and a while my speedo starts to jump and my subs started making a weird noise but only sometimes. I am running a hypertec chip already that came with the truck so i don't know if i even need the 10 k mod or not. I also tried the 14.7k mod but at about 2500 RPM the truck would hit a wall and would not go anyfurther past the 2500 mark. So I pulled it out and went back down to a 10k but it studers at 3000 rpm and ideas.

neither of those issue seem to make sense with a 10K mod? I am not really sure what to think. I guess I would try to put it back in and see what happens. Also Check the speed sensor on the rear diff. Maybe coincidence that two problems started when you installed the mod.

I actually had the silver one in the 95 and I liked it much better than the white one in the link (also in my current truck). Can't seem to find the silver face any more but it didn't have the solid blue in the center of the two large gauges.

Quit picking on me!! Actually the overlay is too bright! with that and my gauges turned all the way up my kids can read their book in plain light in the back seat!! If I cut holes in my floor it would look like I have neon' under my truck!

the sounds from the subs sounds like a ground problem as does the speedo. can you describe the sound?

I pulled the risistor off this afternoon and noticed a loss in power and acceleration speed but with the risitor in It would rev faster but under a load it would stumble. No risitor no stumble but slower acceleration. Any ideas?

subs definatly sounds like a ground,

resistor could be injector related, a 10k shouldnt have any problems in any truck. did you get the 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistors? if you picked up a diferent style it may cause the problem. make sure you got a good connection.
