I had to replace my TPS for the same code but my truck never died,It just would'nt run over 55,and on excelleration the transmission would shift into neutral between 2 and 3 until the RPMs dropped, then it would catch into gear.Low voltage from the TPS tells the PCM that the engine is idleing(or not running) so the injectors won't open. You might try working the plug on and off a few times and see if that helps. To replace it you just pull the throttle body to get to the two screws that hold it on to the throttle body. Its only $26.I replaced mine and it runs great and has'nt missed a shift since.
