The guy that I went to to have my truck tuned did a really good job, the only problem we are having is getting the Torque converter to lock up in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear at WOT.
Brian from BTS told me to have him put the PMT1 strategy in the PCM to get it to lock up. We did that and it works great, the only problem is that the guage cluster doesn't work when we do this.
What is the difference? I have VDH2 Strategy now and the PMT1 isn't meant for the transmission I have (more electronics I guess)... Can anyone enlighten me and offer some assistance to me and the guy that tuned my truck?
He has also transferred ALL the PMT1 strategy into a VDH2 file and burned it to my PCM, still didn't work... Truck locks up in all the gears he tells it to except at WOT...
damnit that sounds bad.... What did ford do differently from the 01 and 02? I can put a 01 code in my PCM and TC will lock up great but no guages!!! I would think it is easy to fix... It has to be a software issue...
The whole gauge cluster changed in 02'. You got the addition of a trans gauge and the odometer is digital in the 02' to 04' trucks. I also believe the GEM module is different because in the 02' and newer you have more options like the auto headlights, auto-locking doors, and chilled cup holders.

I wasn't trying to be rude or anything. I just know that I got TC lockup when I had the PMT1 on my PCM...
I am open to any suggestions/comments! Thanks guys!
