the drop tail works better than a tilt,but can imagine it could be a pain once it got some age on it

Not really - 5er tt pulls pretty much like a goose. Tracks to the inside, less sway, etc. Last equipment I moved was a skidsteer on a tag along. Would rather have had a GN then. Like I said, personal preference. One thing you did mention tho, was a pintle hitch - which I would prefer over the ball hitch. Much quicker to hitch up and go.

I like it much more than a ball as far as hooking up, but it is noisier.

BTW: less people ask to borrow it when they see the hitch!!
