OK, I swore I would wait to install my DP tuner till I had time to do the Valve body too. BUt it all arrived yesterday, after staring at it for an hour, I couldn't talk myself out of installing the tuner!! All I can say is HOLY CRAP!!
BUt I am such a child, I got the DP and the overboost installed, went over everything a few times to make sure I hadn't forgot anything, my wife and dog jumped in the truck to test drive. Get to the stop sign down the street and of course, punch it! Heard a weird noise, my wife asks what it was, I looked in the rear view mirror and said, I'm going to guess it was my 300 piece Craftsman tool set!!!
I flipped a U in some guys field and see the black container and all the little silver spots all FRICKIN Over the road!! Believe it or not, we actually recovered all of the kit, not even one little piece lost. My wife and I must have spent an hour putting that kit back together though!!
BUt, now I seriously need to do some work to my truck, I need to install the valve body,HPX SS, TurboMaster wastegate actuator(30lbs. boost not good right?) and now I need front brakes
I have a question though, will the valve body calm the shift down some? I can't believe this dually spins the frickin tires on the second gear shift now!! As cool as that is, it's very violent!! This tuner is incredible, I know it's been said a thousand times, I guess you have to experiance it.
Does he have it tuned for the new VB. If so, could be part of your problem.
Yeah, it is. I kind of figured that's why it was doing that, thanks. I swore I'd wait to install the tuner till I could do the Valve body, I just have zero control
Good deal Dave. I had a feeling you would not wait. lol You need to close the tailgate when you do that. The first time I launched in 4x4 with 20# boost, I had to go home and tighten my tool box down. It move about 6" from where it was clamped.
I know what you mean about turning all four tires.

Have fun and get the VB installed.
I can't tell you what a moral struggle it was!! You were the one I told I wouldn't install I almost felt guilty, till I hit the throttle!!
I really don't have to drive the truck much in the next 2 weeks till I get time to do the VB so when I need to drive it, I'll just try to go easy on it.
Yeah, your SW is set up for the substantially different line pressures and shift durations the BTS VB will provide. Put that in, and you'll have a totally different truck!!
Thanks Joe for the explanation. I might try to get time to do it this weekend. I have 2 kids graduating and the party this weekend.
Priorities man, priorities. The kids have waited this long to graduate, and have a party, they can wait a few more hours for you to install the VB and take a test drive.
Congrats to you for getting the kids through school, and also for the DP.

My current F250 will currently fry the rear tires in the 80 setting on the DP, but it's always stuck in my head that my previous F350 DRW spun the tires very easily bone stock. The reason the DRW's will light 'em up without much effort is the 4.10 ratio. Is everyone aware of this?
Well I didn't see this post and already rep'd and congratulated you on another thread for the DP......but this post was a LOT more entertaining to read! Glad you got all your tools back too! Get that VB installed....you'll love the difference. I'm still getting used to my shifting on the top end when I'm really in the throttle. FOCUS on the kids for a bit....you can get to your other "baby" next week and finish the install lol
