Well, I'd love to do the housing, but my stock wheel is kinda worked and yep, the WW is a lot cheaper so I guess I'm just going to go that route. I think I'm going to do the pedestal while I'm at it.
I actually went with the JW VB, but yeah, I'm glad I put it in too. I feel a lot better driving around with it installed.
I have heard nothing but good about the JW-VB. I would think either would be fine. Like you said, do what you can while the turbo is off. Up-pipes is a good thing to do while the turbo is off.
This brings up another question, since my stock wheel is not in the best condition and it's the reason I am leaning more towards the WW, I know it's not recommended to do the WW w/housing, this makes me wonder if I should buy a stock wheel and go with the housing. Anyone know how much a stock wheel costs? The more I'm looking at all of this, the more it's all adding up quick, up-pipes are what, $350? My stockers aren't leaking but I am real concerned theat once I remove the turbo to do anything, they will be leaking. The housing is $400 if I remember correctly, I'm going to be another $1000 into this deal.

Get on E-bay, look for Rons Turbo, I spoent 55.00 for a wicked wheel, I think a stock was 40.00. Hard person to get a hold of on the phone, but when you do, alot of help. But the cheapest way, and decent results was the ww in stock housing.
Yeah, I've had him in my favorite sellers for a while, guess I'll just go that route, I'll get the WW and pedestal from him, he has awesome deal on pedestal and the exhuast hsg. I wish someone had deals on up-pipe
I agree with Pat. WW and up-pipes. Like you said, once you take the turbo off chances are they will leak. Then you have the PITA job of changing the up-pipes with the turbo on, or take the turbo off again.
This would be the cheapest way. I don't tend to do things the cheap way, lol ask my wife.
I was told in person by Dennis at ITP Diesel not to do the wicked wheel, and do the ATS Housing. I guess if the wheel isn't balanced perfectly it can do more harm then good, and the results are better from the ATS. I'll be going with the ATS for the surge and to help with the EGT's mostly
Travis, This guy Ron balance's it. so I understand the concern, I could see the problems if it wasnt balanced, but yeah, there should be no problem with anything this guy sells..
