Need help finding a headlight adjustment bolt

I bought a pair of used '04 headlights to upgrade my 2000. They are in nice condition, but didn't come with all of the adjustment bolts. Well, the 2000 headlights mount with 3 twist on style mounting bolts, but the '04 mount with 2 twist on, and one slide in type. So, I can just re-use my 2000 mounting bolts for 2 or the 3 places (per side), but I'm one slide in bolt short.

The dealer will only sell the entire headlight assembly, not just a adjustment bolt.

Does anyone know where I can find one of these:

Perhaps someone has a headlight that was cracked and doesn't need the adjustment bolt that is on it? I think any '02 - '04 would fit.

Other ideas where to find one? I've already looked at local junk yards.

Thanks.

A lot of times you can find odds & ends that will work at the auto parts store. They have that isle with all of those little clips and parts. It may not look exactly the same, but you'll just need to match up the mounting point

Contact Ed Olson @ ftepartsguy.com

Despite what your local dealer sez, Ford does sell the parts separately.

The basic part number for this part is 13032.

Gabe...did you get the pics I sent? If mine work you can have them for the price of shipping.
If the pics don't show enough, then I can get some of the spare headlight I have. I will try to remember to get it done this time and not forget like last night.

Ya, I did thanks alot. But it looks like you have the same ones that are on my 2000 Excursion. I'm trying the ftepartsguy.com route...

Thanks so much for checking though. This is such a helpful forum!

Unfortunately, this is what ftepartsguy.com had to say:

The basic number for the last 80 years has been 13032 and most of the time you can get the adjustment by itself. but 2000-2004 show only to be serviced in the whole assy only. Your local dealer is correct.
there maybe something that might work but it would be by trail and error. junk yard time.
NumberDummy, how did you get that part number? How can I order it?

Thanks.

Ed explained it...up thru 1999, the part was available separately, now Ford makes you buy the whole assembly. I was unaware of this.

Ok, thanks. So I'm down to junkyard, build it myself, or hope that someone can pull one from a cracked headlight that they replaced.

I tried several online places but ended up finding one at a wrecking yard. Problem is they usually break when the headlight gets hit, but I was able to get parts from several wrecked trucks to make a complete set for the driver's side.

Thanks for the encouragement with the junk yard route. I've been to three, and no luck yet, but I'll try a few more.

Still hoping that someone reading this has cracked lens headlight and will pull of the parts I need before throwing it away. I'll pay for shipping of course.

Junkyards are usually my first place to look. They usually have it for cheap.

1999/2002 F250/550 Super Duty w/o Aero Headlights (not the same as Expedition).

6C3Z13032BA .. Horizontal Adjustment-Inboard Screw/Nut (replaces: F81Z13032AA)

MSRP: $4.62 / ftepartsguy.com price each: $3.32
------------------------------------------------
F81Z13032BA .. Vertical Adjustment Screw/Nut

MSRP: $3.87 / ftepartsguy.com price each: $2.78

I do not know if these parts fit 2003's and later, my parts catalogs only go thru 2002.

Interesting. These will probably fit, but it's actually the one other mounting / adjustment bolt that I need. I have a 2000 Excursion, and the lights I'm trying to mount are from a 2004 Excursion. Looks like the horizontal and vertical adjustment screw/nut are the same, but the third, fixed mount point is different. That's the one that I have pictured above. But, it's interesting that you found those parts, since I have been told by two dealers and powerstrokeshop and ftepartsguy that they don't exist. Maybe the part I need does actually exist in the catalog somewhere...

I've got two junk yards to go to today, so hopefully, I'll get lucky.

F150 braket gets you most of the way there

I went to another junk yard, and the guy was actually helpful, unlike the other three I've been to. He helped me poke around on some front ends. Turns out that the F150 uses a very similar mount. Looks like this:

So, the only thing missing is the white turn part, which, I can re-use off of my existing 2000 style mount.

So, if anyone else breaks one of these, you can ask at the junk yard for a F150 and get the bolt, and bracket, and re-use the adjustment nut (assuming that isn't the part you broke). F150 front ends are much easier to find than Superduty.

Thanks for all the help everyone, looks like I've got this solved, and learned something to pass on to the next person too!
