99 f250

i just got a 1999 f250 4x4 with the 5.4 triton. it has the spider gears and the pinion in the front axle shattered. wondering what kind of front axle these trucks have. also ive heard about the 5.4s throwing spark plugs due to not enough threads. is this true or just a rumor??

Front axle is a Dana 50.

99's do have a propensity to eject plugs. Verify thier torque often. (10K) Change them every 60K or so.
