Go to "Auto Repair Reference Center" and start hunting from there.
Good luck.
1. Jack up tire and support with jack stand.
2. Remove tire.
3. Remove brake caliper and pads, remove caliper mounting braket and rotor.
( Make sure and support caliper so as not to damage hose.)
4. Remove hub. ( Make sure and lay these parts out just like they came out so
reassembly is easy.
5. Remove tie rod from mount. ( BFH maybe needed )
6. Remove 4 large bolts on the rear of the steering knucle to allow the removal of the
wheel bearing.
7. Take large prybar and put it behind the u on the axle shafts and pry out. Should
come out easy. Take care not to damage the two seals that are coming out too.
8. Put the axle shaft in a vise, take out the retaining clips, find a socket the same
diameter as the ujoint cap. Put the socket over the cap and hit it with a hammer
to jar it lose. Rotate and repete until joint caps come off and it can be replace.
Make sure not to forget the new retaining clips with the new joint.
9. Reinstall all parts in the reverse order. Torque all bolts to correct amount. Also
depending and how many miles you have on the truck and considering how far you
have to tear down you might want to consider replacing ball joints and seals while
you are there.
Sorry for the long post and please correct me if I made a mistake, but this is how I did it and it worked great. ( Hopefully didn't miss any steps)
