Here Is The Problem, Doesen't Cool Like Like It Used To, And When You Come To And Idle It Stops Cooling All Together, Speed Up And It Comes Back On. Sounds Like An Electrical Problem To Me, What Are You Guys Thinking On This? Thanks Jcab
I had the same problem. It ended up being the switch on top of the compressor that has two wires. The connection was bad and it was barely giving enough voltage to engauge the clutch. When I watched it, it was like the clutch was slipping. It wouldn't spin as fast as the belt was moving.
With the ac on full blow/ max ac go out and wiggle that connection. I bet it will trip on and off. If that's the case, take the electrical connector off, pull the red plastic lock out and pull the pins out of the connector. Clean and crimp them slightly to make better connection.
That's what solved my problem. This IS a high failure part for our trucks. Hope that helps.
