Unplug the little black plug on the harness that goes to the little wires on your GPR then cross the two big terminals on the GPR with a big screwdriver see if you get the same noise
It sounds to me that your GPR is no good is the clicking shorting sound coming from the GPR?
Yea, i was thinkin that too. clickin sound does come from the gpr. Im gonna get one tomorrow, let you guys know what happened. thanks for the help along the way, appreciate it. im still not the best with a diesel engine
Yes I tried switchin the small relays around. I just replaced the GPR and same noise. Does anyone have an electircal/wiring diagram? Make it a boat load easier for me.
Well I was drivin down a main road, truck died while driving, I coasted off to a parkin lot and got towed home. Heres the symptoms, but I think I'm hot onto the problem.
My battery light is not flashing, but pulsing as well as volt meter.
No WTS light.
If I turn the key 3/4 way to start, and go under the hood, I can hear something shortin out. Wires to the glow plugs???
Heres the latest. sorry for some confusion. My dad had the little black IDM relay pulled out. SO i plugged that back in, with the purple orange wire off the gpr, i can here the idm relay makin tickin noises. switched relays and nothing. checked all fuses with trusty ohm meter several times.

The P/O wire is the ground sig from the PCM. Leave the wire off.
Turn the ign sw to run, then reinstall the wire. It should not operate the GPR.
If it does you have to check for a short to gound. I would remove the PCM connector and test the wire to ground. If wire shows good it could be a ground short in the PCM. Thus the WTS lamp.
You switched the idm relay and it did the same? (noise)
