Please help me simplify my Evap System

My 1986 F-250 351/w has two charcoal canisters in the evap system. I am replacing the factory carb (Holley 4180) with an Edelbrock 4106. The Edelbrock does not have a bowl vent, so I would like to remove the associated plumbing and, hopefully, simplify the rats nest of vacuum lines, valves, and switches that make the evap work. I would also like to get rid of one of the canisters as it has some damage. My understanding is that the fuel tanks vent into the canister through a metal line, then a vacuum valve or two activate to allow the vapors to be sucked into the intake after the engine is warm and not at idle. It seems reasonable that the current setup I have is far more complex than it needs to be. Is it possible for me to get to a simple evap setup that uses only one canister and a minimal amount of plumbing using the parts that I already have? If so, how would I hook it up? Here is a photo of my vacuum layout from under the hood: http://www.2and2.net/files/482f94d4f18d9.jpg
Any help would be much appreciated.

I changed to a different photo hosting service. Perhaps this one will work better / faster. http://image52.webshots.com/652/7/41...2iwkxDZ_fs.jpg
