This may be a weird question, but when I fuel up my diesel it gets all foamy and takes forever to get full. I'm almost sure it's not fueling to capacity.
This is a common problem with the diesels. In the pre-powerstroke forum someone suggested taking the fuel filler hose off the tank, jerk the small hose out of the large hose, and hook it back up to the tank. I did this and it helped it a lot. I still can't go wide open, but I can fill it about 3/4 flow from the nozzle.
The fuel is supposed to go down the small hose, and air is supposed to come back out in the large hose, which surrounds the small hose. It works better if you get rid of this setup. Also make sure you tank vent is not clogged. It should be a small hose clipped to the side of the frame coming from the tank.
